KLF BOX LIBRARY
Every child deserves a world of stories
For children in hospitals and orphanages, days can feel long and heavy. A story can change that.
The KLF Box Library Project brings mini-libraries filled with beautiful books into pediatrics wards and children’s homes across Lagos — giving children comfort, joy, and a reason to smile.

What is the KLF Box Library?
The KLF Box Library is a beacon of hope and imagination for children in hospitals and children’s homes.

Each library is a compact, mobile box filled with 50–100 carefully chosen books — picture books, wordless picture books, chapter books, plays, and high-interest nonfiction. These stories offer children comfort, courage, and the joy of discovery, even from a hospital bed.

A single deployment means one Box Library placed in a children’s ward, ensuring that every child in that ward has access to stories that brighten long days and bring families together around books.

Why this Project Matters
-
Comfort and calm during treatment and recovery
-
Continued learning when school is on hold
-
Family bonding through shared reading
-
Positive ward culture that supports healing
Our pilot projects estimate 1,000–1,500 children reached each year in Lagos as placements expand across hospitals and child-care centres.
How It Works
From curation to care, each KLF Box Library is set up, stocked, and refreshed so children always have a story within reach.

We select durable, engaging books for different reading levels and interests, with attention to cultural relevance.
Install
We place the KLF Box Library in a child-friendly, accessible spot agreed with hospitals and orphanages

Testimonials
My daughter was so happy when she saw the books. She asked me to pick a book right away and has been asking if she can read other books. I like that we can just write our names down and borrow any book. Thank you for this initiative.”

Children walked up and picked favourites immediately. The mood in the ward shifted.”
