The Focus of Our Efforts
Mentorship Program

The KLF Mentorship Programme provides the structure and support to help young creatives grow. Children aged 7 to 16 learn the art of writing, illustration, editing, and public speaking through hands-on sessions led by professionals. In previous editions, participants created original stories, learned from published authors, illustrators, editors and public speakers, and developed skills that stayed with them long after the programme ended. Your participation and support helps us continue offering this unique opportunity, nurturing the next generation of storytellers across Nigeria.
The Box Library Project

The KLF Box Library Project is our way of making books more accessible to children in places where stories are often out of reach. We install mini box libraries stocked with children’s books, middle grade, and young adult titles in paediatric hospital wards across Lagos. These libraries offer comfort, curiosity and a chance to escape into a good story during long or difficult hospital stays. We are currently collecting books and building more boxes. You can support this project by donating books, contributing funds or partnering with us to place a box in a ward. Every contribution helps us bring the joy of reading to more children.
The KidLit Fest

The KidLit Fest is a celebration of books, stories, and the joy of reading. It brings children and their families together with authors, illustrators, and storytellers for a full day of readings, workshops, creative activities, and cultural storytelling. It’s a chance for children to see themselves in stories, meet the people behind their favourite books, and explore their creativity in a space made just for them. You can make this possible for a child. By sponsoring a festival spot, you’re giving a child access to books, activities, and experiences they may not otherwise have.
